Diced apples, cinnamon, and bran for a naturally sweet treat.
This here’s the kind of treat that’ll make your barn smell like Grandma’s kitchen in the fall — warm, cozy, and full of apple goodness. These little bites are a hit with every horse I know (and one ornery donkey too).
🧺 Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups bran cereal (or bran flakes, crushed)
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 cup diced apple (peel on’s just fine)
- ¼ cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
🍳 Directions:
- Mix bran, oats, apples, cinnamon, and molasses in a bowl ‘til well combined.
- Scoop out spoonfuls and roll ‘em into small balls.
- Place on parchment paper and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 25 minutes.
Let cool and serve as a sweet little reward.
Bubba’s Tip: “Don’t be surprised if the other horses start hangin’ by the fence — that smell travels!”
