🥧 Bubba’s Classic Apple Pie with Cinnamon Crust

Warm apples, brown sugar, and a flaky crust — this pie tastes like fall afternoons and Sunday naps. Bubba says, “The secret’s in the butter, not the braggin’.”

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups thin-sliced apples (Granny Smiths work best)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp butter, cut in pats

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix apples, sugar, flour, spices, and lemon juice.
  3. Line pie plate with one crust, fill with apple mix, dot with butter, top with second crust.
  4. Seal edges and cut slits in top.
  5. Bake 50–60 minutes till golden and bubbly.

Bubba’s Tip: Brush the top crust with milk and sprinkle sugar for shine and crunch.

Storage: Cover and keep at room temp for 2 days or refrigerate up to 5.
