These carrots shine like a copper penny and taste sweeter than a Sunday smile. Bubba’s Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots are buttery, caramelized, and perfect next to ham, roast, or even on their own when your sweet tooth’s barkin’.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced (or baby carrots)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
Directions:
- Boil the Carrots: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook carrots till just tender, about 5–7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Make the Glaze: In the same pot, melt butter and stir in brown sugar. Cook till bubbly and syrupy, about 2 minutes.
- Glaze ’Em Up: Add carrots back in and toss till coated and shiny.
- Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with cinnamon if you want to get fancy.
Bubba’s Tip:
“Double the glaze if you got sweet eaters at the table — that’s the good stuff that makes the carrots disappear first.”
Storage:
Keep refrigerated up to 4 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave with a dab of butter to keep ’em glossy.
